Aneta Karpińska
Co-founder, COO, R&D Manager
Aneta researches the internalization of chemical and biological molecules into living cells. She graduated in biotechnology (master’s degree, specialization Medicines, and Cosmetics) from the Faculty of Chemistry at Warsaw University of Technology. As a part of her engineering thesis, Aneta performed experiments regarding the bacteriophage’s inactivation. Afterward, she started cooperating with the National Medicines Institute. From the second year of studies, Aneta had been doing internships in various companies and institutes such as the Institute of Organic Chemistry PAS, the Institute of Physical Chemistry PAS, and the Dr. Irena Eris Cosmetic Laboratory. Her main fields of interest are research related to introducing new drugs to the market. In Cell-IN company, she is responsible for the experimental part and R&D managing.
Karina Kwapiszewska
Co-founder, CTO
Karina Kwapiszewska is describing herself as passionate about breaking interdisciplinary barriers. Her main interest is understanding cell biology and biophysics in order to utilize them in bioanalysis, tissue engineering, and pharmacology. As a tool, she bridges biology with hi-tech solutions like microfluidics and advanced microscopy.
Karina graduated from Warsaw University of Technology in 2009 (Master of Science, Engineer in Chemical Biotechnology). In 2014 obtained a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Faculty of Chemistry, Warsaw University of Technology, for the work on microfluidics for cell engineering. During her post-doc, she investigated the structure of human cell cytoplasm using advanced microscopy methods to provide tools for quantitative biochemistry in vivo.
Karina filled prestigious courses about bringing scientific achievements to society (Cambridge Judge Business School), and management (Harvard Business School) She is a co-author of scientific papers and patents. Laureate of numerous awards, scholarships, and grants. She has led the project within wich the Cell-IN product was developed (LIDER/10/0033/L-9/17/NCBR/2018, National Centre for Research and Development).
Patrycja Kuźma
Financial Specialist
Patrycja has a Master’s degree in Biological Chemistry (2017). Notwithstanding the previous, she was a postgraduate student of Project Management at SGH Warsaw School of Economics (2020), and her postgraduate thesis focused on design, project & lab management for a specialistic chemical laboratory. Her management experience is also a monthly management internship (2020) in the Scope Fluidics Group (President of the Board, prof. Piotr Garstecki).
Patrycja is a Research Group Coordinator & Lab Manager in Soft Condensed Matter Team IPC PAS – leader prof. Robert Hołyst and Lab Manager in Dioscuri Centre for Physics and Chemistry of Bacteria IPC PAS – leader – dr Bartłomiej Wacław.
In 2021, she won the international competition for the Best Lab Manager Award.
As a member of the Cell-IN team, she is responsible for the management and control of the budget and expenses in the Cell-IN project.
Alicja Zgorzelska
Co-founder, Product Specialist
Alicja is researching the change of nanoviscosity of cell cytoplasm during the cell’s death at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She graduated from the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology. Her engineering and master theses were based on the study of biocomposites for agricultural applications. During her study, she did an internship at the National Institute for Materials Science, where she checked the effect of ceramic powder on lung cells. Her main field of interest is to describe biological phenomena using physical formulas. In Cell-IN company, she is responsible for the preparation of the product.

Monika Księżopolska-Gocalska
Former member
Monika is a graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Warsaw with a specialization in chemical technology and an expert in chemical metrology (by ISO standards). He is also a certified Product Manager. From 2012, at the Institute of Physical Chemistry, she worked with the SERS (Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy) technique and was a key member of the research team developing a high-quality SERS platform for fast and reliable analysis. She conducted optimization of SERS substrate parameters and subsequent stages of their production process.
As a team leader working on introducing SERS products to the market and a professional in product management, Monika became a co-founder of the first commercial activity of IPC PAS under the name SERSitive. Then she helped in the commercialization of another product of the Institute, called Siliquan. From 2021, he oversees and coordinates the process of introducing to the markets the third product of IPC PAS, this time in the field of biology, called Cell-IN. Monika is a co-author of 4 publications, 4 patents and 2 patent applications.
